Alexa has now become a household name. Starting from making our homes smart to our daily tasks hands-free, Alexa has done it all. Not only this, but she has also educated us, been our daily muse and taken care of us in a digitized manner. And she only keeps getting better.

If you think Amazon Echo Show and Spot devices are just limited to a handful of smart tasks, you’re in for a surprise. You can personalize those screens and even do a slideshow of your very own pictures. Why not revamp it all and your own personal style to it?

The Amazon Echo Show range has brought you a brand new style to help you revisit your memories. You can even keep them displayed in the background, using Facebook or Amazon photos. Here are a few steps to walk you through!

How to Add Photos to Echo Show From Facebook

Presuming you already have a Facebook account, then these are the few steps you would have to follow to relive your memories all over again! The best part is, you can assess your control over what’s being displayed. Meaning, you get to leave out the sour memories behind, and just pick out the sweet memories.

  1. Launch the Alexa app
  2. Click on ‘More’ at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Now, Tap on Settings.
  4. Navigate to Photos.
  5. You’ll see an option, “Facebook”. Under that, tap the option ‘Link account’.

This shall redirect you to a login page where you need to log into your Facebook account. Doing so shall give Alexa the authorization access to your photo gallery on your mobile phone.

The foremost step is to create albums — and then we can dive into the nitty-gritty of it all. You can create albums, name your memories, even create a slideshow! The possibilities just don’t end, but to do so, follow these few steps. You shall be there in no time!

  1. Go to Settings on your Amazon Echo device by swiping down from the top of the screen.
  2. Click on ‘Home & Clock.’
  3. Tap on Clock.
  4. Now, Click on Personal Photos.
  5. Click on Background
  6. Click on Facebook
  7. Now, select the albums you want Alexa to get linked with.
  8. Hit Save.

Your Facebook photos shall pop up in your background. You might want to change the clock face, and if so, you can head back to Personal Photos and click ‘Clock Face.’ Guess the best part? Alexa can display your photos in a rotating carousel method by a simple command. All you have to do is say, “Alexa, show my photos” or “Alexa, show my photo albums”, and you’re done!

Steps to Add Amazon or Prime Photos to Your Amazon Echo Show Device

Technically, just saying “Alexa, show my photos” or “Alexa, show my photo albums” shall put them on for display. But before that, follow these simple steps!

  1. Sign in to your account on your Amazon Echo device (the one with your photos) and go to the Amazon Photos site.
  2. Click on albums, and then click create.
  3. Just select and drag the pictures, and drop them into the album.
  4. Rename the album when you hit save.
  5. Now, go to Settings on your Amazon Echo Show or Spot device.
  6. Click on Home and Clock, and then click on the option Clock.
  7. Now, tap on Personal Photos.
  8. Click on Background.
  9. Now, tap on the Amazon Photos option.
  10. Select the albums you want Alexa to connect with.
  11. Hit Save.

It’s On a Roll

Amazon has been on a roll with its upgrades. And Google too! Google’s Nest Hub now allows Netflix streaming. As much as these tech giants are striving to make things better and compete with each other hard, we can’t thank them enough for making our lockdown experience a lot better!

Don’t forget to give us your 👏 !
