AI. Chatbots. Neuro-linguistic Programming. Natural Language Processing. These are all the buzz words today, aren’t they? It doesn’t matter which media house or tech blog you fire up, you will find a slew of stories around these topics. Whether it is Virtual/Augmented Reality, or whether it is self-drive cars, at the base of it, it is the same base of making machines more intelligent than they are today.

Following that trend (call it a trend, call it the need of the hour), I have talked quite extensively about AI, chatbots, NLP etc. as well (most of the times focused on how we should use them in the most efficient and sensible ways).

I wrote about how we are using chatbots the wrong way.

I talked about the need of making conversations with chatbots more human-like.

I even wrote about the celebrity chatbot I made, and why I didn’t launch it.

Errr… I used that ‘even’ prematurely. This is the right time to use it, so let me reuse it. I even talked about how beer helps you in developing chatbots.

I then started taking up individual sectors/segments and went on to question whether or not chatbots should be used in healthcare (given the fact that they are already being used by some). And if they should, in which places should they be used, and what’s the perception we should attach to such services.

And finally I talked about where should you use AI in your respective businesses.

Phew! That’s a lot of stories around one topic. So, what should we do next? I know. More stories. :-p

WHY?

Because currently we are in the process of building a system that will be amalgamating a lot of these things. So, naturally I thought it might be a good idea if I were to write, more or less, exclusively on these topics. I will talk about how they can be used by businesses as well as how we are intending to use them (and why).

I will also be — in time — divulging what is it that we are building, for whom and how far along are we.

I couldn’t think of a better way to close 2017. It’s almost time, isn’t it?
