Hello friends.
Continuing on our series on the SXA and DEF integration.
As you know DEF has OOTB option to resolve and create an item when its being migrated.
As a parameter you can configure parent item, new item template and field mapping.
But what if you are migrating thousands of new items with complex grouping?
For this you can use this custom action gist that would allow you to do the grouping on the fly with DEF based on the field criteria.
We are going to add new fields to the “Resolve Item” action with grouping criteria — field name and group folder template
And as a result we are going to get following:
